Individual Counselling with me
A conversation that is focused on you and meets you where you are. I do not sit silently but do listen intently and will offer back what I hear and feel you say along with my own responses to offer insight that may be helpful. I am trained in the Person-Centred Approach. I believe that every client is doing the best in the situation they find themselves. We all have the ability for growth in ways that are healthy and fulfilling for us. Sometimes this can be stunted or oppressed by events in our lives, past and present. Relationships we have experienced may not have encouraged us to listen to what it is that helps us to feel happy, safe and to be our true selves.
I offer a warm and supportive space that accepts you and what you bring to counselling. I try hard to understand what is happening for you and your experience of it.
Feeling valued in this way can be very freeing and affirming

Relationship Counselling for Couples
There are many reasons why couples come to counselling. Life may be busy and
demanding and they may find themselves drifting apart. For others, arguments are
preventing the closeness and enjoyment they once shared. Sometimes there is a
single event that unexpectedly challenges the relationship.
Sadness and fear at what is happening to a couple can lead to distancing and
blaming and instead of turning towards each other they turn away making it harder to
feel a close connection with their partner.
Using Emotionally Focused Therapy together, we will work at looking at the cycle
you are caught in and how to recognise this. We will find new ways of
communicating so you can hear each other and respond differently. This will help
strengthen bonds and connection so you can begin to enjoy life together again.
Relationships are so important to our sense of who we are and how we feel loved.
